Event Media Graphics

Traditional books feel still in a world that moves. Our brains are wired for rhythm for scrolling, swiping, and instant feedback. This project explores the disconnect between static reading and the digital-native cognitive experience, aiming to create 'rhythmic' reading environments that align with how modern minds absorb information. By integrating non-linear navigation and strategic decision-making, we can support the unique cognitive skills required for digital mastery.

Strategy

Emerging adult readers (ages 16–24) navigate a distraction-first world with shortened attention spans. While they value aesthetics and immersive experiences, they struggle with sustained long-form reading in traditional formats. Research indicates that 57.5% of students already prefer electronic textbooks for their ability to support strategic notations and non-linear movement tools that traditional paper reading lacks.

I translated our core strategy into a functional app prototype, focusing on non-linear navigation and interactive feedback loops. To bring the vision to life, I developed the video motion graphics, using kinetic typography and fluid transitions to visualize how information 'unfolds' for a modern audience. This multi-disciplinary role ensured that the strategic intent was preserved from the first brainstorm to the final animated reveal.
