Maniac- A Netflix Original
Brand Packaging for a Show
In collaboration with Youmin Shin, we rebranded the packaging for Maniac to honor the series' core themes of psychological tension and interconnected realities. Inspired by the 'retro-tech' aesthetics of Severance and Legion, the design fuses 80s hardware vibes with 3D minimalism. The result is a 'layered' visual experience that feels grounded yet unsettling inviting the viewer into a strange, undefined universe.

We translated the show’s sterile lab environments and repetitive machinery into a cohesive visual language of linear patterns and representational graphics. By using these elements as a through-line, we visualized the simultaneous existence of disparate worlds. The packaging doesn’t just sit on a shelf; it serves as a physical gateway to the show’s psychological depth and interconnected narrative.
