UN Biodiversity Conference

The specific theme for the 2026 UN Biodiversity Conference (COP 17) has not yet been officially announced. However, the meeting in Yerevan, Armenia, will focus on advancing the 2022 Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF). The goals of the conference are to protect and restore ecosystems, promote sustainability and biodiversity conservation.

Process

For this project, I developed a comprehensive design system encompassing both digital and physical touchpoints. Through iterative critique sessions, I refined the visuals to ensure color harmony and strict adherence to conference guidelines. To achieve a fresh aesthetic, I explored multiple design directions, which allowed me to visualize concepts side-by-side and strategically determine the most effective solution.

Collage uniquely explores environmental themes by creating an organic connection to nature. Its layered textures represent ecosystem complexity, while the handcrafted aesthetic appeals to eco-conscious audiences, effectively communicating the urgency of environmental topics

Direction 2

This approach creates a sense of clarity and urgency, using simplicity to amplify the importance of the environmental call to action, and suggesting that a straightforward, focused effort is what's needed to protect our planet.

Merging organic landscapes with minimalist geometry, this design creates a visual metaphor for human interaction with nature. The blend of raw textures and clean structure conveys professionalism and authenticity, offering a purposeful approach to environmental issue.
