Sound Design Department Logo

The brief was to design a logo for the Savannah College Of Art & Design Department so that the visuals could be passed on to sound designers for making sound for it. The challenge was to visually represent something you experience with your ears, translating the depth and diversity of auditory experiences into a mark that feels both meaningful and immediate.

A logo that feels alive one that doesn't just represent the Sound Design Department but embodies what sound design is all about. The layered, glowing aesthetic captures the complexity and beauty of auditory experiences, while the fluidity speaks to how sound transcends boundaries and connects us in ways that are both shared and uniquely our own. It's a visual expression of something invisible, giving form to the emotional impact of what we hear.

I approached this by thinking about what sound actually does it moves, it layers, it resonates differently for each person yet somehow brings us all together. I used smooth gradients and layered elements to mirror the way sound waves flow and overlap, creating that sense of fluidity and motion. Noise and glow effects weren't just aesthetic choices they added texture and depth, mimicking the richness you hear when you really listen. Every decision was about capturing that duality: sound is both universal and deeply personal, technical yet profoundly emotional.

Federal Reserve Bank Of Philadelphia

The brief was to choose a brand logo and come up with an animation for it. I chose a government institution ,"The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia"  The design needed to feel authoritative yet progressive, rooted in tradition but clearly looking toward the future—all while maintaining the gravitas expected of a financial institution safeguarding the U.S. economy.

Process

A refreshed logo that feels both timeless and modern grounded in the symbolism people trust while projecting the energy of an institution that's constantly evolving. The bold eagle doesn't just sit there; it leads, it moves, it looks ahead. It's a visual representation of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia's mission: steady, strong, and always focused on the future of the economy they're dedicated to protecting.

The boldness of the form conveys strength and confidence, while the rightward gaze became a deliberate choice to express forward-thinking leadership. I wanted the eagle to feel like it's in motion, not static, reflecting the bank's active role in driving innovation and shaping industry standards. It was about striking that balance between respecting institutional heritage and pushing toward what's next.
