Cinematography & Creative Direction
The brief was to capture stories through our understanding of 'Match Cuts' which is an editing technique and basically work backwards with the storytelling aspect knowing the technique. I chose this idea of electric feeling of getting ready with your best friend the confidence, the laughter, the pure chic energy that comes from knowing you're about to take on the world together. This live action piece needed to feel effortless and joyful, celebrating style as something playful and empowering when shared with someone who gets you.
Frames & Process
Working with talent Sofia Ramirez Corzo and Isabella Mungal, and with makeup by Supreet Kaur, we leaned into spontaneity and genuine chemistry. The energy had to feel real, not staged friends being friends, but elevated through intentional cinematography and editing that made every moment feel like it mattered.
I started with storyboarding and thinking of visuals that could be achieved in advance but there were situations when I had to pivot but this collaboration taught me a lot about live action and shooting with real people and directing them.

The match cuts create this seamless energy where you feel the friendship, the fun, and that unshakeable sense of being ready to own whatever comes next.
